HOME OF THE MOST TALENTED DANCERS AROUND!
General
- Appropriate dance wear should be worn
- No Gum in dance class
- No Food or Drink (except water) allowed in the dance room
- Students are responsible for their own belongings (including shoes)
Inclement Weather
Phd Academy follows the Pleasant Hill School District inclement weather policies. There are sometimes when the studio will reserve the right to be closed due to weather.
Parent Watch Night
We will have 2 parent watch weeks per year.
Dress Code / Attire
Pre-School: Ages 3-5 or PreK(Potty Trained 3’s)
This class will consist of 20 minutes Ballet, 20 minutes Tap and 20 minutes Acrobatics. The proper attire for this class is pink, or tan tights and a leotard. Pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes will also be needed.
Ballet I: Ages K-7
Ballet II: Ages 8-9
Ballet III: Ages 10-12 (or invited by instructor)
Ballet IV: Ages 13 and up (or invited by instructor)
Ballet attire must be worn in these classes, which consists of pink or black tights, a black leotard and pink ballet shoes. A ballet skirt is also allowed in this class. Hair must be pulled up off the neck and out of the face.
Pointe:Invited by Instructor after testing
Pink or black tights and a black leotard are to be worn in this class. You will need Pointe Shoes and hair must be pulled up off the neck and out of the face.
Beginner Acrobatics: Ages K-8
Intermediate Acrobatics: Ages 9-12 (Backbend pull up required)
Advanced Acrobatics: Ages 13 and up (Front and Back Walkover required)
For this class any color of tights or leggings and a leotard are to be worn. Dance shorts may be worn over the leotard. Hair is to be pulled up out of the face. White Acro shoes are required for this class (similar to the Capezio Agility Gymnastics Shoe at discountdance.com)
Petite Hip Hop: Ages 5-8
Jr. Hip Hop: Ages 9-12
Teen Hip Hop: Ages 13 and up
Let your hair down and shake your groove thing!!!! Wear comfortable clothes that make you want to get your Hip Hop on! Tennis shoes can be worn in this class.
Pre-Teen Lyrical: Ages 9-12
Contemporary: Ages 13&up
In this class you should wear booty shorts and a sports bra or leotard. Shoes should be jazz, ballet or dance paws.
Jazz I: Ages 5-8
Jazz II: Ages 9-12
Jazz III: Ages 13 and up
In this class you may wear booty shorts and a sports bra or leotard. Tan jazz shoes will be required.
Tap I: Ages 5-8
Tap II: Ages 9-12
Tap III: Ages 13and up
In this class you should wear booty shorts and a sports bra or leotard.Black tap shoes will also be required.
Jr. Musical Theatre:Ages 8-11
Musical Theatre: Ages 12 and up
Be ready to learn anything you need to know about Broadway style of dance. This is the perfect class for anyone that wants to be in plays, musicals, or a show choir at school. Learn the basics about stage etiquette and Broadway style routines. Wear tights and booty shorts with a leotard or tank top. Jazz shoes will be needed for this class.
All Competitive Teams
Competitive Team is for those dancers who are dedicated and have a desire for additional dance education. A minimum number of class hours will be required, along with participation in 2 to 4 competitions. Tights, booty shorts, leotard and/or a sports bra may be worn in this class. Tan jazz shoes and black slip on tap shoes will be required.
This class will consist of 20 minutes Ballet, 20 minutes Tap and 20 minutes Acrobatics. The proper attire for this class is pink, or tan tights and a leotard. Pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes will also be needed.

Tuition / Registration
- Registration is done yearly, and due by the 1st class of the fall.
- Tuition is due the 1st of every month.
